On Thursday 29th June we had the pleasure of visiting the new Gordon Moody women’s residential treatment centre in Wolverhampton.

During the launch event we were given the opportunity to take a tour around the centre and see the living spaces, therapy rooms and social area that will soon be home to the first cohort of ten women due to arrive next week who will stay at the centre for six weeks.

We were amazed by the centre and the home-from-home atmosphere that it provides. The staff were all incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about what they do, and it was great to have the chance to speak and network with other organisations and charities in the gambling related harm space.

The best part of the day was - without a doubt - having the opportunity to speak to so many Gordon Moody alumni who were at the event. It was great to see first-hand the life changing results that residential treatment can provide for those who need it and encouraging to hear that for each one of them, GAMSTOP had been an important first step.
